Meeting title: IG Materials Data, Infrastructure, & Interoperability: Current & Future Efforts
IG MDII, launched in 2013, is an active RDA effort that aim to discuss overarching concepts, approaches, and practices for materials data curation, storage, and exchange across organizations, regions, and sectors.

The session will follow up on previous activities and hold discussion on proposed future efforts.
The objectives of the joint meeting are
*Follow up on materials data registry activity presented at P6
*Present submitted proposal to establish the Materials Metadata and Terminology Working Group
*Investigate areas of consensus regarding possible joint metadata practices
*Identifying possible areas for future collaborations
