Developing and Adapting to Research Data Policies in Libraries
A panel of invited speakers will discuss issues related to research data policies that are being developed by libraries (e.g., collection development, deposit, and preservation policies for research data) as well as institutional policies (e.g., responsible conduct of research, data retention, institutional review board, sensitive and restricted data policies) and federal policies (e.g., data sharing and management) that impact library services and decision-making. The panel co-chairs will lead a group discussion of challenges and practical approaches to successfully interpret and implement such policies in a library context.
