Meeting title: Interoperability challenges - Extending collaboration in the Broker Framework
Effective Brokering requires community consensus for metadata, data formats, workflows and services and other areas of RDA IG/WG activities. While several of these areas have been address, scoping of an integrated formulation for a new generation of interoperability is needed and is now timely. The IG Broker will look at these areas in the context of a Broker Framework.
This will be provided shortly
Look at breadth of brokering solutions and there attributes
Address issues of evolution in a changing data environment
Identification of key areas for new working groups
Address issues of evolution in a changing data environment
Identification of key areas for new working groups
Address sustainable descriptions of data attributes in their application to brokering
Discussions of a compilation of existing and planned broker capabilities
Continue the discussion on the link between the IG and the other RDA Groups, with particular attention on the proposed cross-groups frameworks.
Advance the discuss on the recognized challenges for implementing brokering solutions. Recognize new challenges such as the issue that little stays constant, so the services have to be monitored and the accessors updated.
