    Netherland. **
    **Monday, September 22, 2014 **
    ***

ZHANG (CAAS), Imma SUBIRATS (FAO), Caterina CARACCIOLO (FAO)
As an introduction, Esther presented the WG objectives, planned
    deliverables, and recent advances
_Survey : presentation and discussions _
Some suggestions were made to better exploit the survey outputs:
    – build more detailed charts taking into account the role of the
respondents (user vs. producer), their expertise domain
    – what data types are related to which ontologies/metadata practices
The survey reflected a still rather rare adoption of standards and
metadata by scientists. A more detailed analysis of the survey results
is needed to search for explanations. Still, some people from the
audience mentionned the lack of policy and incitements from institutes
and research agencies. It was suggested that such policy related results
should be communicated to the Agriculture Interest Group who endorses
    such issues.
_The WDI WG workshop organised in Versailles the 1st and 2d of october
_was shortly presented. It will focus on :
    – define a list of recommandations/standards for each datatype
    – select use cases to showcase the benefits of such recommandations
    regarding interoperability
    – revise the cookbook
    – initiate a white paper
_A call for participation_ with the following skills:
    – Software developing
    – Linked data
    – Metadata and vocabularies
Proposition of the_creation of a website_ to publish WG activity results
The _cookbook orientations_ were further presented regarding content and
    methodology.
Wheat experts, Information systems experts, Data managers, Software
developers are kindly invited to participate in the collaborative
    writing of the cookbook
