Dear Isabelle,
We have now made changes to our session proposal to address the comments provided.
Addressing each of the TAB's comments in turn:
- Too many presentations AND
- Recommend shortening the presentations (5 minutes each would provide 15 minutes each and an additional 15 minutes for discussion)
We have changed the length presentations to 15 mins each rather than 20 mins. This appears to be consistent with TAB's expectations on the "shortening" comment. (TAB appears from the comments to be suggesting 3 x 15min presentations with 45 min of discussion - this is now the proposed structure of the session).
- Needs a more meaningful meeting title
We have suggested as a new title "Towards Metadata Requirements for Data Quality Assessment Joint Meeting". Other suggestions from the TAB would be welcome if this one is not sufficient.
- GO FAIR Group is not created and never submitted an updated case statement. It should not appear among the Groups proposing the Joint Session. No objection to have GO FAIR talks in the session
We have taken the GOFAIR IG off the organising groups and indicated that they (specifically Luiz Bonino) will participate and present. Going forward, if and when GOFAIR is endorsed as an IG, they can then be part of the organising groups for any working group resulting from this joint session.
Can you please advise the TAB that our session is ready to be reviewed again. We look forward to your comments. Please let us know if there are any additional queries.
Regards,
Steve

Subject: [data-fitness][fair_maturity][sshrd][gofair] RDA P15 Melbourne - Session Acceptance (Improve before Accept)
Dear Social Science Research Data Interest Group, GO FAIR Interest Group, WDS/RDA Assessment of Data Fitness for Use Working group and FAIR Data Maturity Model Working group,
At its meeting on December 19, the RDA Technical Advisory Board considered your proposal for a session at Plenary 15 in 2020.
Unfortunately, TAB is not able to accept your session proposal unless you make the changes that are listed below. If you still wish to proceed you will need to:
1. Update the session description to address TAB's concerns by or before Jan 2nd, 2020
2. Advise ***@***.*** that you have done this so TAB can review your response
Requested improvements:
- Too many presentations
- Needs a more meaningful meeting title
- GO FAIR Group is not created and never submitted an updated case statement. It should not appear among the Groups proposing the Joint Session. No objection to have GO FAIR talks in the session
- Recommend shortening the presentations (5 minutes each would provide 15 minutes each and an additional 15 minutes for discussion)
Best regards,
Isabelle Perseil, TAB co-chair
