2018 is the European Year of Cultural Heritage, a year of events, activities and celebrations all around Europe to get people interested and involved in cultural heritage. As the theme of the 2018 National Heritage week  is "Share a story, Make a Connection", Ireland is making a broader connection with Europe and  highlight interesting and sometimes unexpected historical and cultural links to its European neighbours.
