1. The FAIRsharing WG contribution to the RDA response to COVID-19
The FAIRsharing WG has contributed to the RDA's response to the COVID-19 pandemic in a number of ways:
a) Active participation in the RDA COVID-19 Recommendations and Guidelines on Data Sharing - https://doi.org/10.15497/rda00052
b) Creation of a Collection on FAIRsharing that contains all repositories, knowledgebases and standards found in FAIRsharing that may be useful and pertinent for COVID-19 related research: https://fairsharing.org/collection/RDACovid19WG
2. New FAIRsharing Advisory Board
We have restructured and refreshed the FAIRsharing advisory board. More information can be found on our blog post: https://blog.fairsharing.org/?p=57
3. FAIRsharing redevelopment
We are continuing to redevelop FAIRsharing. Work is progressing well, and we expect to start beta testing our new data model, backend and frontend code in the coming months. Watch this space as we will shortly be asking for beta testers.
4. FAIRsharing - TU Delft Workshop
FAIRsharing held a virtual workshop for the Data Stewards and Champions at TU Delft in June to cover the use of FAIRsharing and how to create a community standard. Joined by colleagues from across Europe, this two-day workshop was a deep dive into Standards across the engineering and life sciences. Further information, including links to videos of the presentations, can be found here: https://blog.fairsharing.org/?p=69
