Groups audience:

Dear Members of the Data Versioning WG
The Data Versioning WG has come to a close, and I want to take this opportunity to thank you all once more for your contributions to the work and outcomes of this working group.
Future of the Working Group
At the RDA VP15, we discussed the future of this group. The options are summarised at the bottom of https://rd-alliance.org/groups/creating-and-managing-rda-groups/creating....
The proposal is that Working Group starts a new IG to serve as a platform for communication and coordination around the WG's topic. In this case, the review also consists of a community review, the OAB is invited to comment, and finally, there are quick yes/no decisions by TAB and Council.
Call for IG co-chairs
We are now asking you for expressions of interest to become one of the new IG co-chairs. You are welcome to nominate yourself or suggest a colleague. Please do not hesitate to contact me for more information.
Data Versioning Session at RDA VP16
Also, RDA VP16 is coming up, and the call for sessions is open until 04 August 2020 https://www.rd-alliance.org/rda-16th-plenary-meeting-call-sessions. I started a session proposal outline at https://docs.google.com/document/d/1XFIpTDbm81CpFJOLT76-NKPt3LWqafkBg38K....
I am looking forward to working with you on the next phase of the RDA Data Versioning IG.
Regards
Jens
