Call for Papers on CWFR - Deadline for extended Abstracts: 1. March 2021
*************************************************************
Dear colleagues,
Let me first wish you all the best for a hopefully stepwise Covid-free New Year.
Attached is a Call for Papers for a special issue of the Data Intelligence Journal on "Canonical Workflow Frameworks for Research". It is time to start changing data practices in the labs towards FAIRness and this can be achieved when we introduce "canonical" workflow (snippets) based on FAIR Digital Objects. We would like to invite you to submit abstracts that cover the spectrum from indicating repetitive operations that could be subject of automation up to workflow solutions knowing that many labs are already working or even using workflow solutions. Partly workflow solutions are embedded in the excellent tools which are helping researchers to carry out their work.
In the second attachment we describe briefly what we mean with CWFR knowing that the description will have to be enhanced in the coming months. More details can be found on the OSF CWFR pages: https://osf.io/2cy86/
We hope that many of you will participate in this endeavour and we believe that 2021 will give new impulses. In case of questions, please, do not hesitate to contact me or Fenghong who is the main editor of the DI Journal.
PS: Please forward this CfP to your colleagues and lists.
best regards
Peter
