Dear Colleagues,
Thank you for signing up to be a part of the proposed RDA Archives and Records Professionals for Research Data IG. I’m very excited to kick this group off with fellow co-chair Rebecca Grant, as I think those of us with an appreciation for the work of archivists and records professionals have a great to offer the RDA community.
I’d like to submit our proposed Interest Group Charter to be reviewed by RDA TAB, Council, and the broader community before Plenary 7 begins in Tokyo. This is a key step in our becoming a formal IG in RDA (if you’re interested in the full process, that info is here). Rebecca and I have put together a draft charter following the Interest Group Charter template, and it’s available for your review and comment as a Google Doc here.
We’d appreciate it if you all could do the following by February 24 5pm CST:
*Enter your email address and title in the “Potential Group Members” table at the bottom of the page
*Review the full document and comment and/or suggest edits/additions/changes. We’d really be grateful for your insight and efforts in working to making this document as strong as it can be.
