Dear colleagues,
This is a short update from the RDA DMP Common Standards working group.
During the last plenary in Philadelphia we have presented the common standard for machine-actionable DMPs [1]. You can find here [2] its specification, examples, FAQs, links, etc.
We would like to hear from you about your experiences of working with the standard. Please contact us in case you have already used it, or if you're just planning to do so.
In a meantime, we are testing the standard by developing prototypes and mapping it to existing templates. We should have some more news on that in July.
We will submit a proposal for the RDA plenary in Helsinki. The goal of the session will be to:
* wrap up the feedback received and make any necessary refinements to the standard,
* present the first successful pilots.
As a result, we should be ready to start the official endorsement process.
Please contact the chairs of this WG, in case you're using or considering to use the common standard for machine-actionable DMPs. We would like the community to learn from your experiences and we still have now enough time to prepare jointly something extraordinary!
We look forward to hearing from you!
