e-IRG Workshop "Open Science and e-Infrastructures", 3 June 2015, Riga, Latvia

 
The open e-IRG Workshop "Open Science and e-Infrastructures" under the auspices of the Latvian EU Presidency of the European Union will be on 3 June 2015 in Riga, Latvia.
 
The e-IRG workshop covers the theme of Policy Aspects of Open Science for e-Infrastructures. It aims to discuss the requirements and consequences of the transition to Open Science on e-Infrastructure policies. Topics will cover the policies on governing the access to data, computing and networking resources, sharing of resources and the transfer of knowledge. The Workshop sessions will address the issues on how different policies have to be adapted to support Open Science and how widening countries could benefit from these changes.
 
RDA Secretary General Mark Parsons will speak during the opening session dedicated to the Directions and main issues or areas that may require policy actions in Open Science.
