Asian OA Community kickoff meeting

The aims of this meeting is to establish the Asian community which can share the OA related experience and hot topic between members. There is an international open access community such as Confederation of Open Access Repositories (COAR), however, the topics are now focusing on advanced level from the view point of the countries which just stands on the starting point. Physical and time distance also make it difficult even though they try to support Asian region. In order to fill gaps and connect OA community beyond continents, establishment of Asian local community so crucial. This meeting will provide the space which stimulates each other by sharing current status, success, concern and problem related to the open access activity beyond the Asian countries.

The discussion will focus on how to share OA related activity within Asian region. It also expand to how to play the librarian role in the research data sharing, which is one of the main topic of RDA.
